Stoke City 0 Everton 2
City's under-18s slipped to a defeat at home on Saturday.
Everton scored two good goals after taking full advantage of slight mistakes made by the youngsters.
City started brightly and even had a shout for a penalty in the first 10 minutes of the game.
Everton's first goal came just before half-time, City failed to clear their lines, opting to dribble it out of the area. Everton took possession and finished it well.
After half-time both sides struggled to keep possession of the ball, the game was very end to end.
The visitor's second goal came with a good run from the halfway line.
Youth team coach Adrian Pennock was happy with the lads overall performance, "Everton were not better than us on the day, the performance wasn't too bad it was just the two silly goals we gave away."
Pennock had praise for one lad in particular, "I was very pleased with Ryan Connor, who is a fifteen year old boy; he played very well at centre-half, so he deserves a special mention."
