Planning, Preparation, & Assessment (PPA)

Stoke City Football in the Community offer schools the unique opportunity to assist schools with the difficult task of managing your PPA time.

Our FA qualified football coaches can provide non-contact time for teachers whilst enhancing your schools curriculum. Football in the Community can offer either half or full day support that will fulfil the units of the PE curriculum or alternatively we can tailor our support to suit your needs.

As well as football, Football in the Community are qualified to deliver the following sports:

  • Tag-rugby
  • Hockey
  • Cricket
  • Athletics (sport hall)

After Schools Coaching Clubs

A very successful activity that sees community coaches deliver a set of challenging disciplines usually over a half term period. Sessions are designed to give baseline knowledge of football, but with a large emphasis on children enjoying themselves.

The normal six week programme sees a focus on the following skills:

  • Passing & Control
  • Running with the ball
  • Heading
  • Turning
  • Dribbling
  • Shooting

Sponsored Penalty Shootouts

The Sponsored Penalty Shootout will be a joint fundraiser, with all money raised being shared equally between the School and Football in the Community. This enables us to generate funds to provide much needed materials for the school and for our part will provide valuable funding enabling us to provide and deliver additional activities to the community.

The children are encouraged to persuade close family and friends to sponsor their five penalties.

In return for collecting the sponsors the young people can win a range of gifts and prizes that are then given out in assembly to everybody who have took part. Prizes include autographed balls, match tickets, and per school one autographed shirt.
