Born in Stake, this local boy signed for Stoke City in 1960 on his 17th birthday, although he didn't establish his role in the first XI until 1965.
He then became a permanent fixture in City's defence, where he was part of the 1972 League Cup and 1973 Watney Cup winning teams. At this time high praise was given to Bloor by many of the country's top managers including Sir Matt Busby.
Appearances for the Potters: 470 + 4 substitute appearance. 19 goals.
