A look back at City's last encounter against the Canaries at Carrow Road.

Norwich City 1 Stoke City 0 (March 17, 2007)

Darren Huckerby's strike was enough to condemn the Potters to defeat at Carrow Road.

The former Manchester City star clinically fired home after 31 minutes to leave the Potters still trailing the Play-Offs by 5 points.

Andy Griffin also saw red late on for what the referee deemed violent conduct.

Tony Pulis named an unchanged side from the one which put in an impressive performance at Sunderland on Tuesday.

The Potters were fastest off the blocks, and before Norwich had time to settle down City almost took the lead inside the first minute.

Some neat play down the right flank eventually led to Liam Lawrence firing an audacious volley just over the bar from 20-yards.

Just five minutes later young Canary Chris Martin should have put the hosts ahead, Huckerby whipped in an inch perfect cross but the teenager headed inches wide of Steve Simonsen's post.

The City keeper had to be alert just after the quarter of an hour mark when Huckerby pulled the trigger from 18 yards.

The former Manchester City star was causing the Potters rearguard all sorts of problems, and just after 30 minutes he gave Norwich the lead.

A neat one two between himself and Martin saw him smash the ball past Simonsen into the back of the net.

Peter Grant's side almost doubled their lead five minutes before the half time interval, but Jason Shackell saw his header cannon the post, then his rebound was saved on the line by the City keeper.

The hosts carried on from where they left off at the start of the second half, with Youssef Safri and Martin both going close.

The introduction of Ricardo Fuller and young protégé Lee Martin aided City's attacking options adding pace and bite.

Fuller tried his luck from 20-yards, then former Canary Darel Russell launched a long ball in to the 18-yard box but Fuller was unable to make contact.

City rallied towards the end but left pointless, and with the prospect of losing Griffin for three games the Play-Offs now look a tough ask.
