City were by far the most productive club during transfer deadline day, signing both Shola Ameobi from Newcastle and Derby's Stephen Pearson.

The two new boys have been issued their squad numbers, with Ameobi wearing the number 12 shirt, which was previously worn by Peter Sweeney.

Pearson will wear number 33, which was the number of former Academy graduate goalkeeper Robert Duggan.

Both Stephen and Shola are eligible for tomorrow afternoon's game against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
