Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock described last night's victory over the Potters as their best of the campaign.

Glenn Whelan's superb volley came in vein as Tom Soares and Jose Fonte secured maximum points for the visitors, and ended City's thirteen game unbeaten home run.

Speaking to the press following the game he said: "With all things considered I think that was definitely the best result since I have been with the club.

"Stoke are no mugs, they could have gone top of the league with a victory but we came here needing a win ourselves and I thought we were fantastic.

"They had us camped back in our own half for long periods but we held out and we battled extremely well.

"I would put the game down as a typical Neil Warnock display, and that is something I enjoy watching."

While the Eagles may have dented City's automatic promotion hopes, Warnock insists his side will now go out and try to even things out by picking up maximum points against the Potters promotion rivals Watford and Hull City.

"Stoke will be disappointed tonight, but we will go to Watford and Hull and try to beat them so it evens it out a bit.

"We need to keep winning if we are going to get in the Play-Offs. Three wins from our final four should be enough."
