Bradford City 2 Stoke City 0
City's second eleven slipped to a 2-0 defeat during last night's Pontins Holiday's League clash against Bradford City.
Second half strikes from Alex Rhodes and Leon Osborne secured maximum points for the hosts as the Potters faield to bounce back from the 3-0 defeat at Walsall two weeks ago.
First team coach Mark O'Connor fielded a largely inexperienced side with only Jon Parkin and Demar Phillips having appeared for the first team this season.
Chances were few and far between during the match with Demar Phillips going closest for City with a rasping effort which crashed against the crossbar.
Danzelle St. Louis-Hamilton was forced in to a number of saves in the first half, most notably preventing Luke Morgan right on the half time whistle.
The Bantams came out all guns blazing in the second period and found themselves 2-0 up within just ten minutes of the restart.
Rodes fired them in to the lead after intelligently reacting to David Brown's centre, before Osborne wrapped up the win after reacting quickest to Louis-Hamilton's save to fire in to an empty net.
Both sides had chances late on with both Rhodes and Jamaican international Phillips going close.
