Leon Cort declared that the team room is "buzzing" following the vital victory over Bristol City which saw the Potters leapfrog Hull into second place.

Mama Sidibe scored twice in the first half as City beat their promotion rivals 2-1 and Cort insists that the squad is remaining fully focussed on the job they still have to complete.

Speaking exclusively to Stoke City World, Cort said: "It was an unbelievable victory, the dressing room is buzzing because it's back in our hands now.

"We knew the results from before the game so there was a bit more pressure but we went out there and did really well.

"Knowing the results before hand gave us a lift becuase they nrearly all went for us, so we had a massive incentive to go out and do what we needed to do."

The former Palace defender, who nearly added a third to City's account with a header in the second half, believes team spirit got them where they are and will be a big factor in the remaining games.

"Everyone played their part today.

"Even the guys who weren't playing helped get everyone going in the dressing room before the game.

"The team spirit here is immense, it's unbelievable."

The Potters are three points clear of third placed Hull City with two games to play with victories over Colchester and Leicester seeing the promoted into the Premier League.
