We Want The Title - Cresswell
Richard Cresswell is gunning for promotion and the title following City's vital 1-0 victory against Colchester on Saturday.
The former Leeds man poked home the winner in the first half at Layer Road as the Potters briefly moved to the top of the Championship.
Only a late winner from Hull against Crystal Palace prevented City from earning automatic promotion, but Cresswell believes the win has given the team a huge lift ahead of the final game against Leicester in front of a packed house and the SKY television camera's.
Speaking exclusively to Stoke City World, Cresswell said: "It was a fantastic result for us.
"It was important to get the three points and it gives us a boost for next week as we look for a result to get into the Premier League.
"We were a little bit flat after hearing about Hull's winner but these things happen in football.
"Nothing is easy and nothing gets given to you in this game.
"We'll need to work tirelessly to get the right result, one more point and we're in the Premier League.
"We're going for a win on Sunday and hopefully if results go right we will win the league."
Cresswell made sure everyone knew it was him who struck in the first half, amidst confusion about the scorer.
"I'm claiming that goal, Liam banged it across and I bundled it in so I'm having that one," he joked.
"I'm pleased, it was always going to be a tough game.
"I thought first half we did really well and created a lot of chances, especially from set pieces.
"They were always going to have a go in the second half and they did.
"It was the last game at their ground so it was a great result and one that we can be proud of.
"I think we all showed that we had the concentration to get us through this game."
The 12 goal hit-man insists the Potters attention has already turned to the game on Sunday, where a point would see them return to the top flight for the first time in 23 years.
A win could even see them lift the title if West Brom lose at QPR.
"It's going to be a massive game, a full house and both teams will be fighting for a win.
"We had great support on Saturday and hopefully they'll be there in numbers again next week being that 12th man.
"The lads have done fantastic all year to be top with one game to go. Fingers crossed we can do the job."
Stoke host Leicester in front of a sell-out crowd on Sunday with a 2pm kick off, with the game also being covered live on SKY Sports.
