City Smash Ticket Record
City are set to be backed by bumper crowds at the Britannia Stadium next season after supporters smashed the club's Season Ticket sales record.
Over 15,000 tickets have now been snapped up for the 2008/09 Premier League campaign, representing the highest ever amount ever sold.
More than 5,000 fans have taken up the recent mid-price season ticket offer to secure their seats ahead of the club's first season back in the top flight for 23 years.
Announcing the news, Chairman Peter Coates said: "We are very pleased that so many supporters have already purchased their season tickets for next season.
"We still hope to sell even more, because I feel it is important that we continue to grow our supporter base as we aim to establish ourselves in the Premier League.
"It will be fantastic to see some of the best clubs in the world here next season.
"We saw two of those last night, and they will both be coming here. To be playing against these teams in the best league in the world is very exciting."
Supporters who have not yet purchased their tickets at these prices still have time to do so before the June 4th deadline.
