The club are set to donate over £5,000 to the Douglas Macmillan Hospice ahead of their Midnight to Sunrise Walk this evening.

£1 will be donated to the charity for every female who undertakes the 10-mile journey at midnight tonight..

Beginning at the Britannia Stadium, the walk takes a circular route through Trentham, Longton, Fenton, Joiners Square and Heron Cross.

City stars Liam Lawrence and Andy Wilkinson were joined by Pottermiss ahead of the event for a picture opportunity at the Britannia Stadium to show their support for everybody taking part.

Senior Fundraising Manager Zoe Hollingsworth is delighted with the contribution made by the club, saying, "We are so pleased that Stoke City have choosen to support the Ladies walking to raise money for the Dougie Mac in the Midnight to Sunrise Walk.

"The gift of £5,000 and the use of the excellent facilities at the club is incredibly generous and we are extremely grateful."
