The club can today confirm the opposition for the two matches part of this month's pre-season trip to Austria.

Tony Pulis' men will play German outfit Nuremberg on Tuesday 22nd July before facing the Bahrain national team on Friday 25th July.

The venue for the first match is pencilled in as Stadion Stainach in Stainach while Bruck an der Mur will host the Potters' second game.

Nuremberg are the second most successful side in German football behind Bayern Munich but suffered relegation to the Second Division only this year having finished in the Bundesliga relegation zone.

"Der Club" play their home games at Frankenstadion, the scene of England's 2-0 victory over Trinidad & Tobago in the 2006 World Cup, and feature Greek EURO 2004 winner Angelos Charisteas in attack.

Bahrain, meanwhile, are placed 72nd in the latest FIFA World Rankings and are above the likes of Jamaica, China and Iceland.

They enjoyed a 1-0 victory over Japan in a 2010 World Cup Qualifier in March and will face them again, and Australia, in further qualifiers next season.
