Stoke City 2 Huddersfield 2
Marc Goodfellow salvaged a point and maintained the reserves' unbeaten start to the season in an entertaining clash with Huddersfield at the Britannia Stadium.
Goodfellow's 65th minute strike levelled the scores at 2-2 after the visitors had twice led.
Town went ahead early on but Chris Iwelumo quickly levelled.
The visitors' regained their advantage shortly after the break through a penalty but City's persistence was rewarded.
And Goodfellow almost clinched all three points in the dying stages but was denied by a brilliant save.
Huddersfield drew first blood after just seven minutes when Adnan Ahmed fired home from 20 yards.
Eight minutes later City were level when Goodfellow's long-range shot was parried out by Phil senior and fell to Iwelumo, who made no mistake from five yards.
The visitors almost regained the lead when Danny Schofield struck the bar after 25 minutes, before Kris Commons was just off target from 20 yards after Iwelumo set him up from Richard Keogh's free-kick.
City were caught cold at the start of the second-half when Brian Wilson's attempted back-pass failed to reach David Clarke and the goalkeeper upended Steven Kenworthy to concede the penalty which Schofield converted.
Goodfellow was denied by a Senior save but had the beating of the goalkeeper with 25 minutes to go when he exchanged passes with Lewis Neal and set off on a solo run before firing home from 16 yards.
Iwelumo and Goodfellow then both put efforts wide before Senior completed his fine afternoon's work a minute from time when he kept out a fierce Goodfellow effort.
