City lost a two-goal lead before snatching a dramatic late victory at the McAlpine Stadium to keep up the pressure on Pontions League leaders Walsall.

Defender Brian Wilson was the matchwinning hero when he scored just four minutes from time.

Earlier, a two-goal lead courtesy of Jermaine Palmer's double strike, the second a penalty, had been whittled away by the home side's strong comeback.

A young City side made a dream start when Palmer fired home after just three minutes for his first Pontins League goal since September.

He doubled his tally after the break, picking himself up to score confidently from the spot after being brought down by Town's Robbie Edwards.

But that goal sparked off a home revival and Paul Scott reduced the arrears after 66 minutes.

Huddersfield pressure finally paid off eight minutes from time when Dwayne Mattis equalised from a right-wing cross.

It looked as though City would have to settle for just a point until Wilson popped up in the six-yard box to tap the ball home and claim his first Pontins League goals of the season and maintain what is becoming an exciting championship run-in.

Walsall remain three points clear at the top, although the Saddlers have played a game more.
